It has been announced that an enhanced port of Rogue Trooper: The Quartz Zone Massacre, a 2006 shooter based on a UK comic-book character is to be released on the Wii thanks to publisher Reef Entertainment and developer Rebellion. Set on Nu-Earth, Rogue Trooper is the story of a genetically engineered soldier who seeks revenge on a traitor General alongside his fallen comrades, who live on as biochips installed in his equipment.

Thanks to the system's unique controls, Reef says that the Wii version will offer a more immersive experience, with kill shots more accurate and creative than in previous versions while further tweaks and extra polish by Rebellion are set to make the Wii game the definitive experience.

"Rogue Trooper: The Quartz Zone Massacre is one of the best games Reef has been involved with, and to win this contract for the Wii version is fantastic. We're taking a hit game to a unique console where we believe the exciting elements we've added will make this 3rd shooter a hugely successful Wii title." said Reef Entertainment CEO, Peter Rezon.
