Denmark-based international publisher The Game Factory has signed a licensing agreement with toy and game designer Seven Towns Limited to adapt the Rubik Cube into a 3D puzzle game for the Nintendo Wii and DS titled Rubik World.

Children aged eight and older will be able to tep inside the cube?with a collection of addictive but easy-to-play puzzle games which increase in difficulty as they progress in Rubik World. Some of the activities players can jump into include constructing 3D shapes and objects, navigating through mazes, and creating their own soundtracks.

The two versions will each have their own unique games and features, with the DS release of Rubik World supporting online play, and the Wii game accommodating up to 4 players and providing an online message board.
